What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Strong expertise in managing and maintaining AWS RDS MS SQL and AWS RDS PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience working with Amazon Redshift.
  • Familiarity with Kafka.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Proficient understanding of the .NET backend stack and its interaction with databases.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience in designing data warehouses and data stores.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a cloud-agnostic setup.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Kinesis.
  • AWS Certification is a plus.

Your Mission

  • Oversee the health, performance, and security of AWS RDS instances (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) as well as Amazon Redshift.
  • Optimize database queries, indexes, and other elements for maximum performance.
  • Assist with migration strategies and implementation.
  • Work on scaling techniques such as sharding and replication.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to manage and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools.
  • Regularly monitor database health and performance, generating comprehensive reports on database metrics for stakeholders.
